It’s a rainy Friday and I’m wiped out, so here’s a slow one from LCD Soundsystem - Never As Tired As When I’m Waking Up. It’s basically (and admittedly by the band) muscially identical to Dear Prudence by the Beatles, down to almost note-for-note copying the guitar riffs at the end. I think this is a fantastic thing. Every once in a while it’s OK to change direction for a few minutes and just pay homage to your idols without forcing things, especially when you’ve really already got your own trademark identity working everywhere else.
